If your MR2 Spyder has some miles on it (especially 00-02 model years) chances are your stock precats, which are an integral part of the exhaust manifold, are starting to deteriorate. This can cause you to fail emissions testing or more likely it can generate fine ceramic dust which swirls around and finds its way into your cylinders, wrecking your rings and causing your engine to burn oil.

The manifold was revised for the 2003 model year and is believed to be more durable than those problematic early units. This is an OEM part so there is no performance change and your stock heat shields bolt right up.
