The Racer X Fabrication engine bay heat shield for the 1991-1999 Toyota MR2 was designed to replace the OEM component. The OEM heat shield is often rusted, broke or just missing a few components. The Racer X heat shield is a one piece design and provides additional clearance around the radiator hard lines by the cabin wall. The shield is lower profile than the OEM unit specifically at the bottom portion by the cabin wall engine mount.
The heat shield is cut from 5052 aluminum sheet and formed on a CNC press brake. Finally, it is laser etched with the Racer X logo. The finished component brings life back to your engine bay and adds a nice aesthetic touch.
