Important Installation Information

This compressor comes pre-filled with 3 ounces of PAG 46 oil. Unlike our previous compressors, this unit does not contain shipping oil that must automatically be drained and discarded.

Before installation, verify the total oil capacity required for your A/C system and adjust the oil quantity accordingly. Do not add oil without accounting for the oil already supplied in the compressor.

For proper installation and compressor longevity:

  • Flush the A/C system to remove contaminants and debris.

  • Replace the A/C receiver/drier and expansion valve as appropriate.

  • Replace any contaminated components that cannot be properly flushed.

  • Install new O-rings and seals, lubricated with compatible refrigerant oil.

  • Rotate the compressor shaft by hand before startup to distribute lubricant.

  • Evacuate and recharge the system with the correct R134 refrigerant and specified quantity.

Service Tip: Before installation, position the compressor with the front shaft seal facing downward for 1–3 minutes to help lubricate the seal and reduce the possibility of refrigerant leakage.

Important: Replacement of the receiver/drier and expansion valve may be required to maintain the manufacturer's warranty coverage.
